Left-over Funds Collected for a Mosque
Question:- The case is that a person collected money from different people for the construction of a mosque, and with this money the construction of the mosque was completed, but some collection is left unspent after that. Is it permissible to spend the amount collected to construct a mosque, for other expenditures?
Answer:- It should be noted that it is not permissible to spend the amount collected for the construction of any mosque for any expense other than this. However, if it is not needed in the construction of that mosque anymore, in that case with the consent of the funders, the amount can be spent on any other mosque or a madrassa.
