Not Performing Hajj for a Wealthy Person
Question:- I had an acquaintance who wished to perform Hajj and had savings enough for Hajj. I urged him to perform Hajj at the earliest upon which he applied for the Government Package but didn't get selected. I advised him to opt for Private Package, but he said he does not have enough money, even though I knew he could arrange this much money. Later on, he spent his savings on his son's marriage. Was it right for him to do so?
Answer:- Once it becomes obligatory, Hajj must be performed at the earliest. Delaying it, is a sin.
